The blues

I can’t believe that the summer holidays are nearly over. Spent a dire day trudging around town with Mum looking for a new school uniform. Worst of all Mum refused point blank to buy me black trainers for school. Instead I’ve been saddled with some ‘hard-wearing shoes’ that, according to the spotty shop assistant, will support my feet while I’m still growing. Tosh! A few games of football in the playground will test them to the limit!
